FAMILY: ALICE in WONDERLAND

I met Kelly and her husband Martin when I first moved to Ann Arbor (we even had a photo shoot back then!) They were engaged at the time but now they are a family of three!

It's pretty clear, baby Alice is so loved. When her mother Kelly emailed saying she wanted to shoot an Alice in Wonderland inspired set of photos, I was more than excited. Kelly, a fashion designer, had every detail worked out, she even had a groomer paint their pug Suz to resemble the Cheshire cat! We meet up on a recent humid July morning at a park near their home to take some fun summer photos.

FAMILY: Kennedy & Mary

It has been over a year-and-a-half since I've photographed this sweet girl and her awesome parents Melanee and Christian. This time around they brought along some family, Lisa, Andrew and Kennedy's cousin Mary. We hit up a park in downtown Milford to take a few photos and document this incredibly cute stage in childhood!

Kennedy and Mary were born very close together. There's something extra special about having a cousin as a best friend!

The bubble machine was a brilliant idea! Ran that thing straight outta gas, too!

Princess Lily and her fourth birthday party

I can still remember my fifth birthday. It was my first boy/girl party (one of those stinky boys brought me a button with my name on it and I still have it!) I remember playing pin-the-tail on the donkey, listening to music and eating cake! It was a lovely November affair held in my family's living room. :)

When my co-worker and super blogger mom Jenn asked me to come over for a last minute birthday party photo shoot for her daughter Lily, I couldn't help but say yes! I mean, who can resist a cutie like this?

Here, Ms. Lily is "cleaning" her scooter. Because why wouldn't you clean a scooter with spray-able sunscreen! ;) Perhaps a princess theme Jiffy Lube in her future?
