I recently had the pleasure of photographing little Julia and her parents, Gerta and Jimmy. I've known them for years as Jimmy is the brother of my dear friend Michael.
It's such a treat to photograph families as they change and grow and that much better when they are your friends!

Emily, Mike and their four adorable kids recently moved back to Michigan after living out of state for several years. I met up with them recently to photograph them making some new memories in their Ann Arbor home. Which, by the way, has the most perfect gray painted wall in their living room and a backyard full of fall-colored trees!

I met Kelly and her husband Martin when I first moved to Ann Arbor (we even had a photo shoot back then!) They were engaged at the time but now they are a family of three!
It's pretty clear, baby Alice is so loved. When her mother Kelly emailed saying she wanted to shoot an Alice in Wonderland inspired set of photos, I was more than excited. Kelly, a fashion designer, had every detail worked out, she even had a groomer paint their pug Suz to resemble the Cheshire cat! We meet up on a recent humid July morning at a park near their home to take some fun summer photos.
